Challenges for the Articulation of Higher Education Institutions in Industry 4.0
Abstract
The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), also known as Industry 4.0, refers to a new paradigm that provides traditional industry and its associated processes with technological information and communication systems used, to a large extent, to improve productivity. Industry 4.0 is therefore the basis for the transition to a knowledge-based economy, leaving aside the low-cost, resource-based economy and directly influencing dimensions such as the education and training of new generations.
