Quality assurance as an opportunity for improvement in research laboratories

Keywords: research centers, scientific articles, accreditation of testing and laboratories

Abstract

Since the end of the 19th century, when the first research laboratories were created in Colombia, and at the beginning of the 20th century, with the creation of the first scientific societies, a way of working in research began to develop that was replicated and extended for decades to different parts of the country. In this way of working, there was little collaboration with other centers, either due to communication problems, lack of cooperation in some areas, or simply for the protection of information.
