Abstract

This work is a review of the characteristics of the combustion using highly preheated normal air. The technology has been used in the last years to provide an increase in the thermal efficiency and a significant decrease in the consumption of fuel and polluting emissions regarding the conventional combustion systems. The combustion with enthalpy excess concept is presented, and also the main combustion properties that are affected by there active preheated, the systems more used to preheat the air, the advantages and disadvantages of this technology and some computational technical.
