Abstract

The origin of this article is a seminar "Perspectives and topics of the science and technology" leaded by professor Thomas Arnold Mormann, in a PhD program named "Science and technology studies and, Technological innovation management", offered by "Universidad del País Vasco" (UPV) to 16 academics of "Instituto Tecnológico Metropolitano" (ITM) of Medellín. This text take measure concept (quantitative and qualitative), analyzing the ideas of the French Physic and historian of the science, Pierre Duhem in his work "The phusic theory", and the thesis of German philosopher Hermann Von Helmholtz in his work "Numbering and Measuring from an epistemological viewpoint".
