Abstract
The introduction of reinforced pavements as an alternative for paving, make necessary to develop a design method by Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) based on reliability analysis.This paper proposes a basis to choose load and resistance factors and its load combinations, to achieve target reliability levels using Montecarlo technique for flexure and shear (pounch). This work is a research result of the proyect "Development, implementation and behavior of the Pavimento de Larga VidaPLV- (Long Lasting Pavement), at the Instituto Tecnológico Metropolitano de Medellín, Colombia - ITM.
